Due to the continued water loss, the District has engaged a litigation attorney and geotechnical engineer to review all information regarding the Lakes 1 and 4 rehab project. A lawsuit has not yet been filed; therefore, the District cannot comment any further regarding the future plans for Lakes 1 and 4 beyond what has already been discussed prior to the engagement of the attorney. The District can provide the following information:
- Lake levels are being maintained as recommended by the previous engineering company and geotechnical company.
- Daily water levels and pumping volumes are being recorded to document the volume of water being lost.
- To avoid multiple installations and removals, the fountains and lights will not be reinstalled until the lakes can be repaired to the satisfaction of the District.
The lakes currently have a considerable amount of floating aquatic vegetation (algae). All treatments for aquatic vegetation are the responsibility of the Texana Plantation HOA.
