Lakes 1 and 4 Renovation Update – September 3rd

Due to the continued water loss, the District has engaged a litigation attorney and geotechnical engineer to review all information regarding the Lakes 1 and 4 rehab project.  A lawsuit has not yet been filed; therefore, the District cannot comment any further regarding the future plans for Lakes 1 and 4 beyond what has already been discussed prior to the engagement of the attorney. The District can provide the following information:

  1. Lake levels are being maintained as recommended by the previous engineering company and geotechnical company.
  2. Daily water levels and pumping volumes are being recorded to document the volume of water being lost.
  3. To avoid multiple installations and removals, the fountains and lights will not be reinstalled until the lakes can be repaired to the satisfaction of the District.

The lakes currently have a considerable amount of floating aquatic vegetation (algae).  All treatments for aquatic vegetation are the responsibility of the Texana Plantation HOA.
