Lake Construction Update

Lake 1

The contractor has completed work on the lake bottom and slopes and the surveyor and engineering firm have confirmed the depths and slopes were built as planned.  The two wells will be turned on to begin filling the lakes.  It is estimated to take 9-10 weeks to fill the lake based on the size of the lake and the outputs of the two wells.  Any rainfall will reduce the fill time.  The remaining items on the lake will be the restoration of the area used by the contractor to access the lake.  The waterfall on the south end will be built while the lake is being filled.  The fountains will be installed once the lake has been filled.

Lake 4

The contractor has begun removing the silt and the dirt bottom of the lake.  The rain is affecting the progress of the work.  New clay will be brought in and placed in already excavated areas while excavation continues.  Depending on weather and truck availability the work should take 5-6 weeks.  Filling the lake should take about 5 weeks.
